Summary:
In the game you get to play as an archer who has to protect the only bananas left on the island while hordes of mischeiveous monkeys set there mind on stealing them from you with the odd chance of a boss to pop along and have a go at taking your precious bananas
Gameplay:
The game ran ok but came into many issues with the way I was facing having no indication on how to recalibrate the camera to face forward also the monkeys seemed quite slow and quite easy to keep away from your precious load the only problem I was getting is that I have no ps move controller and was using the controller that came with the ps4 and on many occasions failed to aim at the enemy’s that were coming for the goods the design of the controls must be built around the move but as I didn’t have any couldn’t test fully
Also the levels were quite long which I loved but no checkpoint system was on so if you were to get the game over screen then that’s it you have to start all over again at some points I was stuck in the menus of the game over screens not being able to move forward or back but with it still being tested I will let it slide
The Graphics:
The scenery was glorious the colours used through the game were awesome, same with the enemy’s loved the little outfits they were wearing and love that they got more armour as the difficulty whent up only problem as I say was half the time I was looking at a tree to my right and not the playing field
Lasting appeal:
My opion of this game is great concept badly laid out I love the idea of the old shutters brought to vr my only problem is that there was no instruction on how to play through the the levels like there is in most Vr games out to date
Final thoughts:
Great concept of a game needs to be more polished out before it’s perfect giving a chance if I was to buy this game it be a no until the main bugs are fixed with the crashes and menu issues
Score = 4/10
The good:
- Concept overall
- Design
- Music
The bad:
- Lots of bugs
- Crashed every so often
- Controls are bad
- Need specified controller which are expensive
