For fans of old PlayStation Franchises; Specifically Crash Bandicoot & Spyro The Dragon. There may be some good news in the future for you if Andrew House’s hints are anything to go bye.
Sony Computer Entertainment CEO’ Andrew House was recently in an interview with British Newspaper “The Daily Telegraph” and when asked about the return of classic characters such as Crash & Spyro considering Nintendo’s re-use of their characters time and time again; House had this to say “This is very dangerous ground. In concept, it is something we’ve been thinking about and discussing, and this is a shift for us. We’ve started to say that maybe there isn’t anything wrong with going back and looking at characters that people still talk about, that were a big part of either their childhood or their youth. I definitely wouldn’t close the door on that,’’.
Its been a while since Sony revisited their old PS1 Franchises with the latest entry in one of those franchises being Twisted Metal for PlayStation 3 back in 2012 much to the annoyance of fans for certain PS1 franchises but hopefully this is a good sign that Sony is bringing back 2 of its heavy hitters from the PS1.
While it’s unlikely, Lets keep our fingers crossed that something gets mentioned at either Gamescom in August or Tokyo Game Show in September.
So What do you think? Should Sony buy Crash & Spyro back? What other series’ would you like Sony to bring back? Have you played any of the Crash or Spyro games?
