The Order: 1886 developer Ready at Dawn has revealed that it’s using the filmic adjective to describe the visual style of the upcoming third-person shooter, not its gameplay.
The Order: 1886 was unveiled to the world last year and impressed through its pretty original premise and the attractive visual style. Since then, Ready at Dawn has presented some more gameplay videos and screenshots that showed off even more footage with the game looking very impressive.
The studio has also used the filmic description when talking about the game, but now Ready at Dawn co-founder Andrea Pessino has emphasized that it only applies to the visual style, and not to the gameplay. Pessino doesn’t want fans to think that The Order will be a game that only looks pretty and doesn’t allow that much interaction in terms of gameplay.
He has also promised on Twitter that more surprises will be revealed in the following months, as the studio gets closer to the early 2015 release period for The Order: 1886.
Unfortunately, he didn’t say anything else, so don’t expect to hear something anytime soon.
The next big gaming event, Gamescom 2014, takes place in August and it’s unknown whether Sony will show off The Order: 1886 at the large event in Cologne, Germany, although it will be a surprise if they didn’t.
The Order: 1886 is set to release exclusively for PS4 on February 20, 2015.
