Today Infinity Ward have confirmed that for this current weekend, they will be enabling Double XP for the Extinction mode of Call of Duty: Ghosts across all platforms.
This week saw the release of the first Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Map Pack in the form of Onslaught which hit the Xbox 360 & the Xbox One. In honor of this new map pack which also includes a new Extinction scenario called Nightfall; Infinity Ward have revealed today on Twitter that as of today; January 31st they will be commencing double XP for the Co-Op mode only.
As such, until Monday morning, those who enter the Extinction mode in Call of Duty: Ghosts across all platforms will receive double the amount of regular XP for their achievements and performance. It is more than likely certain that you can expect to see more DLC & Double XP weekends in the future.
