Rumor: Nintendo introducing HD “Reumagined” Range with Super Mario 64 HD

OK everyone, Here is a huge rumor which we here at UGNN are personally hoping is real. So the rumor going around recently suggests that Nintendo is planning on jumping on the success of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD by releasing some of their greatest games in a HD range called “ReUmagined” and if these rumors are to be believed; The first title in this range is Super Mario 64.

Regarding this new range; the following details have been uploaded with the rumor:

The website responsible for first reporting on this rumor “Paul Gale Network” (Most notably known for reporting on rumors around PlayStation All Stars) has also revealed that more titles are planned other than Super Mario 64 but have remained hidden however Paul Gale replaced each of the letters in the titles with stars so people may guess. The list is included below:

– Super Mario 64
– ***** ***** **
– **** **** **
– **** *** **
– ********** **
– ******* ****
– **** ************

Personally for the other 6, I’m guessing exactly the same as most of the comments on Paul Gale Network that the other 6 titles consist of Ridge Racer 64, Wave Race 64, Star Fox 64, Pilotwings 64 (or Excitebike 64), Pokemon Snap & 1080 Snowboarding.

According to the details, These are the changes to Super Mario 64 in the reUmagined version:

In addition to this, Shigeru Miyamoto revealed in a recent interview for Super Mario 3D World that HD Remakes for games like Super Mario Sunshine & Super Mario Galaxy could be possible:

“As for remaking previous games in HD, that’s certainly possible, but currently, most of our devs are working on making new stuff. And we certainly like to have people working on new stuff like that. HD remakes might, however, be a good project for a development partner of ours. So that’s something I hope we have the opportunity to introduce in the future. But the main thing that’s always going to be on our minds is: ‘What new elements of gameplay can we use with the GamePad, as applied to some of these older games?’ We want to find some way to bring a fresh new experience to this, rather than simply update the visuals and leave it at that.” – Shigeru Miyamoto

I will be certain to report on this if any more news gets revealed and many thanks go to VGleaks & Paul Gale Network.

So what do all of you gamers think of this? Is this to good to be true? Would you pick up the games in this range?
