As I have mentioned before in a previous article, Rockstar Games have been teasing information for their highly anticipated title, Grand Theft Auto V which is set to launch in a few short weeks on September 17th but not much information has been detailed about the online gameplay…until now. Not long ago, Rockstar games showed to the world the first gameplay footage of Grand Theft Auto Online (GTA V Online). The Grand Theft Auto Online gameplay shows how Rockstar have taken fundamental GTA concepts of freedom, ambient activity and mission based gameplay and made it available to numerous GTA players around the world in a highly detailed and responsive game world.

In Grand Theft Auto Online, you’ll have the freedom to explore alone or with friends, work cooperatively to complete missions, band together to participate in activities and ambient events, or compete in traditional game modes with the entire community, all with the personality and refined mechanics of Grand Theft Auto V.

Grand Theft Auto Online will be made available for free to anyone who purchases a copy of Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online is set to launch October 1st.

In other GTA V news, Rockstar have officially launched an interactive travel guide for Los Santos online. Rockstar say the special interactive travel guide is to get you ready for your trip to Los Santos in September claiming the following are available in the travel guide (which will most likely appear in the final product).

Rockstar also added that the travel guide will continue to be updated very soon with more stuff to explore such as locations and music.

The final thing Rockstar revealed was that the GTA V site has been updated with brand new screenshots and concept art.

Grand Theft Auto V is set to launch worldwide on September 17th on PS3 & Xbox 360 & Grand Theft Auto Online will be made available on October 1st.

So what do you think? Does the Online gameplay appeal to you? Do you like Rockstars interactive advertising with this interactive travel guide? Will you be picking this game up?
